Engraved on the Palm of His Hand...

She was overwhelmed about the pregnancy.
She was farther along than she thought.
She had already decided.
Quietly, I walked with her to the ultrasound room.
Something didn’t look right. But it was.
On the screen, there were two babies.
We heard two heartbeats.
Two baby girls.
She turned her face away and silently cried.
Unsure what to say, I held her hand.
Down the street, her abortion appointment was scheduled for the next morning.
We prayed hoping and believing.
Right now, two baby girls are with Jesus.
A mother is silently hurting.

Exactly one week after that ultrasound, I was in the same room again.
It had already been an emotionally draining morning.
The high school senior did not want this pregnancy.
We heard two heart beats.
Two babies, not just one. Two baby girls.
She was crying.
Back into the quiet counseling room she went.
We stood outside the door and prayed.
We prayed, hoping and believing.
It was one choice that determined their destiny.
Two little girls have been given life.
But life has been given in exchange for sacrifice on her part.
She has been kicked out of her home.
Now she is in foster care.

Four baby girls.
Two individual circumstances and choices.
Two weeks that profoundly impacted me.
Two women in need of prayer, support, and love.
Join me in prayer!

Meet young women that have chosen LIFE.
Meet their babies that have been given LIFE.
These captured moments summarize the
prayer and passion in my heart.

"Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
I have engraved you on the palms of my hands..."
Isaiah 49:15-16

Join me in praying for the women in hard places.
Women in Philadelphia, across our nation, and
around the globe that are hurting today.
