Oh Summer!

Summer was beautiful...and so hot!

Franklin Ice Cream in Old City was simply divine.

School was finally over!

The doorbell was constantly ringing.

Anisah, Amia, Amera, and Kamira helped me plant window boxes.

Two weeks of Summer Bible School started with the teachers moving in!

It was such a blessing to see all the teachers pouring their hearts and gifts into their activities!

Dennyza stayed with us for the two weeks. What fun we had!
Nyza's neice, baby Deja, was born. She is too adorable.

After Summer Bible School, the mad rush for camp started.

Camp was very full this year.

The support and prayers from so many people went before us.

This was our verse and prayer for the summer.

"For God did not give us a Spirit of fear
but of power and love and self-control."
2 Timothy 1:7

Summer brought many changes in the neighborhood.

More than 15 new houses are being built.

There were moments of violence, but the young men are alive.

Summer brought a burst of new neighbor kids, each with their own stories.

Two ladies moved out of the mission. Jared moved in.

Another family also moved in. So fun to have new staff!

We explored an old trolley bridge in Fairmont Park.

It was stunningly creative.

Fall is finally here!

And we are both very glad that school is back in session.

Tuesday Night Kid's Clubs and Thursday Youth Nights have started again.

JOIN US IN PRAYING FOR:
The teachers that committed to speak Jesus and love the kids
The kids that come each night
The presence of Jesus in our classes and buildings!
